3. The work of some particular writer, or, the literature of a period.
4. Some aspect of citizenship, ancient or modern.
5. Some aspect of modern science.
6. An
essay to be written in a modern [foreign] language on the literature of
a period or the work of a writer.
7. Some aspect of art or architecture, either the work of a special artist, or the work of a period.
8. The work of a musician, or a period of musical composition.
However, one should not write on #2 & 4, #7 & 8, #3 & 6.
